Thrust Bearing are the supporting elements that are used to provide support to the mechanical parts of the high speed water pump and to bear large uneven forces generated due to hydraulic loading on the impeller, the mass of impeller and shaft, and the loads due to the shaft coupling. These are especially designed to maintain the uniformity in the shaft axial end movement and the lateral deflection into the acceptable limits. Thrust Bearing are light and compact in design with a weight in between 100 to 300 grams and the bore size within the range of 10 to 80 millimetres.
